Catafalque have released their new single, “Possession,” from their album Dybbuk. Dybbuk will be released on October 13 through Aural Music/Code666.
Catafalque were formed back in 2019 as a studio project where members would trade recordings/materials online, since they lived in different parts of the U.K. The project released their debut self-titled album in 2019, through U.K. label Trepanation Recordings. The album was followed by an EP titled Memento, with U.S. dark ambient outfit Clawing. Both the records were heavily praised by critics and fans alike, and it prompted the band to start playing live shows. The band played some concerts, especially a U.K. tour as a trio, until the pandemic happened. After that, the band released a double album, We Will Always Suffer, which was jointly released through Trepanation and Cursed Monk Records.
