“The Embers of Enlightenment” is the latest single from Gainseville, FL’s Ship Thieves’ new album, Irruption, out now on Chunksaah Records.

Made up of vocalist Chris Wollard (Hot Water Music), bassist Chad Darby (Samiam), guitarist Addison Burns (Quit, The Enablers), and drummer Bobby Brown (The Enablers), the punk supergroup released their fourth album March 12.

Irruption has been in the works for several years, following on from 2016’s No Anchor, produced by Ryan Williams at Black Bear Recording Studio (Hot Water Music, Pedro The Lion), and marks a new chapter for the band.

Wollard says:

“I wanted all the songs to work together and paint a picture, with different scenes, and different lives moving through them. I was hoping that by using multiple viewpoints to write from, it would help to build a more concise picture.”
