Chris Farren has released a movie soundtrack album, Death Don’t Wait (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). The album is set to release on February 9 from Polyvinyl Records.
In less than three months, Farren scored a made-up movie, made up of mostly instrumental tracks that fade into emotions that fit a scene, filled with helicopter shoot-outs and villan headquarter explosions.
Farren has paired his own familiarity with this soundtrack to draw his core listeners in. The record pulls inspiration from films like Dirty Harry, Kill Bill, Chinatown, Mulholland Drive, James Bond, as well as ’60s/’70s French and Italian pop, bossa nova, and surf rock.
“Death Don’t Wait (Main Title)” is the albums only non-instrumental song, featuring a vocal performance from Laura Stevenson.
