Circle Jerks have announced a 40th-anniversary deluxe reissue of the punk band’s magnum opus Wild in the Streets. The announcement comes with a new video for the title track. Directed by Atiba Jefferson, the video features Tony Hawk, Eric Koston, Sean Malto, and a host of skateboarding greats.
“I grew up on ‘Wild In The Streets,’ so to be asked to direct this video was a huge honor,” Jefferson says. “I wanted to capture and preserve 40 years of history but also celebrate 40 years of punk rock and skateboarding history.”
Out February 18 on Trust Records, the reissue includes remastered audio courtesy of Pete Lyman, live tracks from 1982, and a 20-page insert-sized book with interviews and an essay by journalist Chris Morris. Circle Jerks will also be touring beginning in February, including dates with 7 Seconds, Adolescents, and The Bouncing Souls.
