Philadelphia-bassed self-described indie-rock-pop-gaze outfit Cloakz recently released their latest single “This is It.” It’s the latest single off the band’s upcoming debut album Control Program, which is due out on August 23 on Mint 400 Records.
Originally conceived as a fuzzy psych-rock project by singer/guitarist Zac Ciancaglini, the group evolved as it expanded into five-piece, combining shoegaze with indie-folk and a pop sensibility. On “This is It,” the band find a way to weave in those fuzzy, shoegazey guitars under a gorgeous pop song with delicious hooks.
