News: Colorado’s Spectral Voice Embark On 16 Date Tour

Doom and gloomers Spectral Voice have booked a 16 date North American tour in support of their new record, Sparagmos, available now. The road trip has been dubbed the “Night Engulfs Life” tour MMXXIV in which Spectral Voice will perform Sparagmos in its entirety, their second full length album via Dark Descent Records.

Drummer and vocalist E.Wendler states:

“The content of the album oscillates between lamentation and exaltation. An immersive, morbid atmosphere of funereality longs for the liberation of death and mourns the agony of life. Coupled with moments of frenetic madness, grandeur, terror, and ecstasy, the point we are trying to get to is the moment in which—through sacrifice—atavistic wildness is unleashed, and the ultimate exaltation of life through death is realized.”

Sparagmos sports influences delving into the genres of death, black, doom metal, dark ambient, and even arcane literature.

The album was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Arthur Rizk at Redwood Studio, with artwork by Manifester.

The tour kicks off May 8 in Lincoln, NE, and concludes with an appearance at the Maryland Deathfest. U.K. doom metal band Esoteric will join Spectral Voice on select dates.
