After more than 30 years together, Cypress Hill show no signs of hanging things up. The seminal ’90s West Coast rap group is gearing up for a busy 2022 with the announcement of a new album and documentary. The news of Back in Black, out March 18 via MRNK, comes with new single “Bye Bye.”

The new track, featuring a verse from Dizzy Wright, follows 2021 singles “Open Ya Mind” and “Champion Sound,” which will also be included on the new album.

“If you’re making music, you don’t just want to make one song,” says Cypress Hill’s. “You want to make an album to show people like your skillset, your versatility, and to capture their minds. You can do that with one song, but an album is a journey. You have to take the trip. We were always fond of taking people on a journey, the rollercoaster ride, if you will, and you can only do that with an album.”

In addition to the release of the band’s 10th album, a documentary titled Insane in the Brain: Cypress Hill is anticipated for spring of this year. That comes in addition to an already announced slate of touring including a run on Slipknot’s Knotfest Roadshow.
