Dan Deacon has shared a music video for “Fell Into The Ocean” from his album Mystic Familiar, released in January of this year. The video features a guided meditation card deck created by Deacon and shows scenes of everyday people in moments of faux-transcendence.

“Dan and I originally connected over Brian Eno’s Oblique Strategies, which is a deck of cards used to help you creatively unblock yourself,” says director Ariel Fish. “In the video we wanted to do a sort of homage to Oblique Strategies by creating a deck of cards featuring ‘Fell Into The Ocean’ lyrics which would encourage the characters to find answers to their dilemmas within.”

The card deck, which ties together the concept of Mystic Familiar through a three stage guided meditation, will be available on Deacon’s upcoming tour dates.

Earlier this month, Deacon shared a video for the making of Mystic Familiar through the Domino Records YouTube channel.
