News: Darkwave Band Synical Drop Their First Album in Over 11 Years

Synical

Underground darkwave and goth rock favorites Synical have recently released their first album of material in over 11 years. Their fifth album, This Will All Happen Again, was released via Cleopatra Records on Friday, July 21. The release acts as the follow-up to their 2012 album Quit While You’re Behind. The album, which features several contributions from esteemed artists in the band’s genre (Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Murderdolls), is a sleek collection of 10 dystopian and electronically-tinged tracks.

Based in Los Angeles, Synical was formed by Brian Haught in 1989. Throughout their over 30-year career, the band’s music has drawn from a wide range of influences. This includes bands such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and others within the canon of goth and alternative music. They accomplish this while also at the same time having their own distinct and unconventional sound. After going through several lineup changes, the band’s lineup today comprises of Brian Haught, David Black, and Eric Griffin.
