Dominic Sen releases her newest song “World Of Noise” while announcing her forthcoming LP will drop on June, 9. The up-and-comer will release three more singles prior to the album drop, which is titled Apparition.
“An apparition is many things,” Alexandra Lily Cohen, who goes by the stage name of Dominic Sen, says. “It is the arrival of the sun in our sky every morning. It is the unexpected connection with another living thing. Even the act of songwriting is an apparition,” Cohen continues. “Creativity is capricious like a stroke of lightning.”
The LP will tell the story of the creation myth at the center of the Geddir Luk’aTam, an archaic text from a distant civilization. Cohen often uses both original an traditional mythology to add depth to her music.
“Storytelling and world-building are a means of escaping the tedium of my own reality. They’re also the best tools I have for self-discovery, for exploring what holds meaning for me,” Cohen adds.
