News: Drab Majesty Announce Upcoming EP

Los Angeles Alternative band Drab Majesty have announced the release of their upcoming EP An Object in Motion, out August 25 via Dais Records. Their first single off of the four song release, “Vanity,” which features Slowdive’s Rachel Goswell, is out now alongside a new music video.

Drawing from The Cure, as well as ’80’s synth and ’90’s show-gaze sounds, “Vanity” is a true amalgamation of the magic of both Drab Majesty and Slow Dive.  Drab Majesty’s Deb Demure commented on the song, “As a long time listener and devotee of Slowdive, a band that literally shaped my DNA as a listener and musician, it was truly humbling to have Rachel offer her iconic vocal stylings to this song. Her voice is a sonic treasure and unmistakable. I’m infinitely grateful to call her a friend and am still pinching myself wondering—How did we get here?”

Matching that sentiment, Goswell says, “It’s no secret that I am a long time Drab Majesty fan, so when Deb asked me some years ago now if I would be interested in collaborating, it was an immediate yes. Honored to give my voice to ‘Vanity.'”

Including various collaborations and areas of inspiration, An Object in Motion is a sentiment to the evolution of Drab Majesty that can’t be missed. Preorder the EP here.
