Indie punk band Elway announced a West Coast tour today for this summer with special guests Heart & Lung. The tour is being billed as The Red Scare West Coast Psyop Tour. It’s being presented by Red Scare Records and New Noise.
The tour kicks off in Denver on June 23. It passes through Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, and wraps up in Albuquerque, New Mexico on July 3. Elway says about the tour, “We always love touring the west coast because, aside from getting to eat superior Mexican food daily and getting to visit some of our favorite cities, the drives are absolutely gorgeous and cinematic, like a Villenueve movie. Let’s hope the movie doesn’t involve our goddamn van breaking down this time.”
Heart & Lung are new to touring the West and seem to be excited about the opportunity. They said about the tour, “Heart & Lung has never played west of Chicago, so we’re looking forward to hitting the Oregon Trail and experiencing the actual sun for the first time! We’ve already chosen who will be cannibalized first if we get stuck in the Rockies.”
