News Exclusive: Punk Island Announces Their Triumphant Return to Randalls Island for June 8

After spending some time away from the island itself, artist collective and free all-ages music festival, Punk Island, announces today their triumphant return to Randalls Island in Manhattan, New York for this year’s festival on June 8 to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the fest. For the first time since the pandemic hit, the festival will feature a full six stages. Past lineups have favored up-and-coming artists but still left some room for a few bigger names like Days N Daze, The World Inferno Friendship Society, Mikey Erg, and more. So pack up your vests and jackets because this year on the island it promises to be an amazing time.

“As a collective, we are very excited to return to Randalls Island,” explains the festival’s lead organizer, Antonio Rodriguez. “After holding the festivals off the island twice, we felt that now was the perfect time to grow and reconnect with Randalls. We are looking forward to the space available to in order to have six stages.”

Punk Island prides itself on being more than just a festival but an entire collective of artists, musicians, educators, and more under a not-for-profit organization with funding from Make Music New York. The festival is considered the culmination of the year-round work that the collective does.
