One of the Northeast’s newest pop punk bands, Fake Feelings, just released their latest song “Still Trying.” The new song features fellow pop punkers We Demand Parachutes.
“’Still Trying’ is about the feeling you get when you run into an old flame,” the band say. “The verses encompass your thoughts while going through the interaction, while the chorus is the conversation you are having with this person.”
We Demand Parachutes’ involvement with the song dates back a few years ago when they toured up to Auburn, Maine, performing at a club where a future Fake Feelings musician worked. Once Fake Feelings formed, the guys connected with Kevin from We Demand Parachutes.
The musicians traded off lyrics, and eventually, “Still Trying” came together. The song is aided by the steady, producing hand of Alan Day. The Four Year Strong musician is behind dozens of rising musicians and bands in the scene.
