News: Fall Out Boy Releases “Crynyl” Version of New Album Sealed With Band Members’ Tears

In what can easily be dubbed the most emo gimmick of all time, Fall Out Boy released a version of their new album, So Much (For) Stardust, on what they’re calling Crynyl, a vinyl record sealed with the tears of the actual band members inside.

The band made a mock commercial for Crynyl in the style of an old, ’80’s commercial. The band’s bassist and lyricist, Pete Wentz, posted a video back in March on Instagram in which he demonstrated how they collected the tears. According to the website the band set up for Crynyl, the record also comes with a built-in tissue dispenser.

Only 50 copies of the Crynyl were produced, presumably because the band only had so many tears to go around. All 50 have already sold out. If you want, though, you can buy another vinyl variant of the album from the Fall Out Boy web store and cry on it yourself.

You can also follow the band on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to learn what ridiculous stunt Fall Out Boy thinks of next.
