NOFX frontman Fat Mike released the single “Total Bummer” last week, the second single off his upcoming orchestral album Fat Mike Gets Strung Out. The album—which is out on September 15 from Mike’s label, Fat Wreck Chords—features 10 string arrangements of classic NOFX songs. The first single off the album, “Fuck Day Six,” was released a few weeks earlier.
Along with the release of “Total Bummer” came a live video of Mike performing the song with his friend Baz The Frenchman. Watching NOFX songs performed by a string orchestra is really a sight to behold, and you can behold it below:
In addition to the release of the album, there will be two performances of Fat Mike Gets Strung Out in California this coming October, one at the Historic Fox Theater in Bakersfield, California on October 12, and the other at The Theater at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, California on October 15.
