NOFX frontman Fat Mike returns to his sad clown make-up and giant shoes as his infamous alter-ego Cokie the Clown, for the new “Fair Leather Friends” video.

Directed by Jeff Alulis, we see Fatty and actor Emma Hunton (from “The Good Trouble”) mirror one another as melancholic harlequins. Footage from this video was also used in the video for “Atom Momb” from the Home Street Home musical, which Fat Mike created, and Hunton stars in.

Fat Mike comments: “This is what a great director can do. Use a day of footage to make a video. Then use the same footage to make a video for a different song that has a completely different feel. Thank you Jeff Alulis and Emma Hunton.”

“Fair Leather Friends” is taken from 2019’s You’re Welcome – the first full-length Cokie the Clown album, almost ten years after the now-legendary and forever cringeworthy debut Cokie performance at South by Southwest in 2010, that landed Fat Mike on TMZ and in all kinds of trouble.

The album shows a different side to the NOFX frontman/ Fat Wreck Chords founder: one where he bares his (very dark) soul without quips or clever word-play to mask the brutal truth. Whether you like it or not, You’re Welcome
