Free Friends join pop punk powerhouse Makeout in a throwback track titled “Save Me.” The release comes as the rising scene standouts tour parts of the East Coast with Danvers.
“’Save Me’ isn’t just another song; it’s a raw, emotional journey set to the backdrop of early 2000s pop-punk vibes,” vocalist Ben HeHan says. “With lyrics that delve into the complexities of emotional and mental struggles, this track is a sonic S.O.S. that resonates with anyone who’s ever felt cornered by life’s challenges.”
The track certainly lives up to the description, with an explosive finish that pairs Free Friends and Makeout’s skillsets perfectly. “Save Me” is a great lead-up to the band’s full-length album, which will drop in the spring.
“It’s a raw cry for help,” DeHan says about the new song, “echoing the emotional depth of bands like My Chemical Romance and All-American Rejects.”
Fee Friends begin their upcoming run of shows in Baltimore on October, 20. This includes stops in Washington, D.C.; Rockville, MD; Charlotte, NC; and Greensburg, PA.
