Texas death metal/hardcore maniacs Frozen Soul have released their new single “Deathweaver” along with a music video directed by Brendan McGowan. The song is from their upcoming album, No Place of Warmth. It will be released on May 8 through Century Media Records. The video features influences from anime such as Ninja Scroll and Noise Marines from Warhammer, as well as Hellraiser 80s-style horror.

Vocalist Chad Green shares his thoughts about the song:
“‘Deathweaver’ is about how slowly, in time, you lose pieces of yourself and gain new perspectives. Weaving your memories of life’s experiences to form who you are inside, and the cruel nature of life—the cycle of death—and how hard it is to stay who you are.”
He adds:
“In the end, the video is about a woman that is centuries old, and in her eyes she is forever chasing her dream of creating the perfect harp. In reality, she is using the flesh, bones, veins, and nerves of her victims (us performing) to make this bone harp—the end reveal is nuts!” I also had a ton of fun working with my childhood friend Eric from Mile High Animation on the design of the harp, he 3D printed it in pieces then I put it together, painted and gored it up with the help of Sam!”
