Gang of Youths have released a new track, “in the wake of your leave,” via Warner Records.
The song can be found on the band’s upcoming record, angel in realtime due out February 25.
As whole, angel in realtime plays into a consuming amount of emotions that move through frontman Dave Le’aupepe, following the loss of his father. Le’aupepe gracefully uses song writing as a creative outlet for his grief.
The lead single “in the wake of your leave” turns sorrow into melodies. Laced with sophistication of the Auckland Gospel Choir and percussion stemming from a collective of drummers from the Cook Islands. Vibrant passion bursts through the seams of the track, manifesting addicting hooks.
