Girlschool have begun their final North American tour which kicked off October 16 in Dallas, Texas and is scheduled to run through early November. Look for support from Lillian Axe and Alcatrazz.

The band are supporting their most recent album, WTFortyfive?, released on July 28 by Silver Lining Music. A longtime favorite of the late Lemmy Kilmister, Girlschool are the longest tenured all-woman rock band.

Girlschool comment:

“We are excited to announce the second and final leg of our Farewell North America tour (with Alcatrazz and Lillian Axe). Please come and see us for what will be our final ever North American tour dates. Cheers you lot!”

Original members Kim McAuliffe and Denise (Drench) Dufort are still in the band. Lead guitarist /vocalist/songwriter Kelly Johnson died of cancer in 2007 and was replaced by lead guitarist/songwriter Jackie (Jax) Chambers in 1999.
