Goner Records announced this week that they’re releasing the posthumous final record from punk legend King Louie Bankston, Harahan Fats. Bankston is most well known for his work in The Exploding Hearts and Terry and Louie. Bankston had envisioned Harahan Fats as a 22-track album released on two cassettes. While the finished product only contains 15 tracks, Goner is releasing the album both as a standalone LP and as a “Director’s Cut” double cassette in honor of Bankston’s vision for the album.
Along with the announcement of the album came the release of the album’s lead single “Trinkets,” which was originally recorded with fellow punk legend Jay Reatard. Along with the single comes a memorial video dedicated to Bankston directed by Art Boonham. Check out the video below:
