U.K.-based punk rockers Honeybadger released their new single “Wakka.” The trio’s high energy song features heavy guitar riffs, snappy solos and grungy vocals.
The track’s most iconic moment features vocalist Eddy belting, “Although I can see and understand what a person is trying to say, they need to make me believe.”
The track, like the Honeybadger’s other recent work, was originally a string of demos the band threw together “in a tiny, dark box room with an amp and drum kit.” But it’s evolved into something more, and now Honeybadger are playing in clubs around Brighton.
Formed in 2014 by brothers Joe and Eddy and friend Luca, the garage punkers have an upcoming show in The Water Rats, London on October, 13. The young band find inspiration from groups like Them Crooked Vultures, Pretty Vicious, and The White Stripes. Honeybadger describe their music as rock with heavy punk and grunge influences.
