News: HU$H Returns With New Single, “Calling on Angels”

The genre-disruptor, HU$H, has returned with the release of a new single, “Calling on Angels,” from his upcoming album that will be out later this year, via Strange Music. Alongside of the new single, there’s a music video to accompany the track. This track was self-produced and marks the first release of 2024. It is also what will pave the way for what’s to come.

HU$H lyrically bleeds all over the production of “Calling on Angels” while punctuating swells of orchestral swings with layers of raw guitar over it all. To those who are unfamiliar with his work, he channels a sound similar to that of Linkin Park’s Meteora era mixed with post-Soundcloud-emo-rap like Lil Peep. The last time that HU$H released music was when he teamed up with Kim Dracula on Tech N9ne’s highly catchy single, “W H A T (We’re Hunger And Thirsty)” from BLISS.

The music video features HU$H going through empty halls in the middle of a seemingly endless night. There are also brief glimpses of masked figures with all eyes glued to him. The protagonist will eventually reach a roof before surveying the cityscape after dark.

HU$H on “Calling on Angels”:

““Calling on Angels” was written just a few months ago after a medical diagnosis for a condition that’s been causing me a lot of physical pain for a few years. It’s about not knowing what’s wrong for so long, not knowing how much pain someone is in, pushing your hardest to get through the other side of it, and finding relief. It’s also about how easy it is for some people to get lost in their pain and hide from the world. So, find something good and hold onto it as tightly as you can to keep life positive. There are a lot of people struggling and suffering in this life, and when there’s no hope sometimes, we end up just calling into the oblivion for help.”
