Check out the band HUSHMONEY from Los Angeles, California. They are on the verge of releasing their debut album, HUSHMONEY, June 28 via Sunday Drive Records. We are happy to share their new single, “Same Thing (For Mojo), “a super fun song along with a fantastically brilliant video with the whole band having a total blast!” Same Thing (For Mojo) features Sierra Kay (Neaux, VersaEmerge). This exciting news also entails the album HUSHMONEY will include their previous released singles “Bad Guy (Until He Died)” and “Bad For You” also with a video. Shooting this video with a 12-year-old Max Weidenfeld was exciting and illuminating for them as well.
“Shooting a music video with a 12-year-old director was so goddamn fun. It allowed us to all play. He got a bunch of late-30s married rockers to put on dog costumes and face paint and run around an active dog park. But we did it for Max. Our Camerman did it for Max. Our production assistants did it for Max. Our producers (Max’s parents and cousin and cousin Rachel) did it for Max. This is a band of friends, and it was a day of friends coming together. It was the best Sunday everyone’s had in a long time, and the video shows that.”
Don’t get it twisted; these artists are not just funny and know how to throw it down, but they take their music very seriously. Mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated producer Will Yip (Code Orange, Turnstile, Mannequin Pussy, Title Fight, etc) , they are definitely ready to rock it out 2024.
