News: Inter Arma Announce New Album ‘New Heaven,’ Release Title Track

Inter Arma

Richmond, Virginia-based metal band Inter Arma proudly announce their new album New Heaven, which will be released on April 26 through Relapse Records. With the announcement, the band have also revealed the title track from the album.

Listen to the title track “New Heaven” on YouTube:

The new album is destined to uphold the banner of sheer talent and perseverance of Inter Arma. With the addition of the new bass player Joel Moore, their sound finds its way beyond their earlier boundaries. Vocalist Mike Paparo filled the songs with lyrics that deal with the difficult experiences that humans have such as becoming victims of war, being in addiction, and social apathy.

Drummer TJ Childers shares his thoughts about the album:

“‘New Heaven’ is the culmination of four years worth of adversity ranging from near death experiences, multiple member changes and of course a global pandemic. It marks a new chapter for us musically, as we feel we’ve taken our songwriting to places we’ve never explored before. We’re excited to have come out of the madness relatively unscathed and feel as though we’ve created something completely unique that will stand apart in the sometimes homogenous extreme music community.”

Guitarist Trey Dalton continues:

“This record, maybe more than our previous efforts, more fully represents what we’re trying to accomplish. It’s still very much us—you know, music made by dudes coming from disparate musical backgrounds and perspectives, but with a more collective and defined sense of purpose. Clarity in direction, maybe. Your mileage may vary, but we like it a lot, and we hope you do too.”

Inter Arma will be performing at this year’s Roadburn Festival on April 18. The band will play the new album in its entirety.
