Jhajha Iwaki, frontman of Japanese hardcore punk band Lip Cream, has sadly passed away. Little is known about how he died, with no cause of death being publicly revealed. Relapse Records shared the news a few weeks ago on their Facebook page, saying:
“Everyone at Relapse Records is saddened to learn of passing of Jhajha Iwaki. It was an honor to work with him on the Lip Cream reissue campaign. Rest in Peace, Jhajha.”
Relapse Records had reissued Lip Cream’s entire catalogue this past December, including many releases previously unavailable in the west.
