Joyce Manor are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their album Never Hungover Again with a series of special concerts in December.
The shows will take place in Anaheim, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Boston, and Chicago, where the band will perform the entire 2014 album. For many bands, playing a full album might be a grueling task, but for Joyce Manor, playing an album that’s only 19 minutes long, it’s a chance to revisit one of their most beloved records.
This album, the first Joyce Manor released with Epitaph Records, marked a significant improvement in production compared to their earlier work. It was produced by Joe Reinhart of Algernon Cadwallader, and the cover also features Frances Quinlan of Hop Along alongside bassist Matt Ebert.
The tour will be even more exciting with the participation of Algernon Cadwallader, who has reunited with the band specifically for these shows. Their last tour before breaking up was as Joyce Manor’s support act, and their guitarist, Joe Reinhart, co-produced Never Hungover Again. Additionally, some dates will feature The Ergs! and Toys That Kill, influential bands in punk indie-pop with whom Joyce Manor released a split in the year of the album.
The New York date will be on December 8 at Brooklyn Steel, with Algernon and The Ergs! as support. Tickets are already on sale for all concerts.
Before these anniversary shows, Joyce Manor will also perform in Brazil with Gouge Away. They released their latest album, 40 oz. to Fresno, in June 2022.
