News: Kathryn Mohr Releases Cover of Low’s ‘Cover’

Kathryn Mohr has released a cover of Low’s “Cut.” This is one of many covers off of the tribute album to Low, Your Voice is not Enough, out May 24. The album will be comprised of eight tracks by Flenser artists and friends such as Cremation Lily, Holy Water, Kathryn Mohr and many more.

This album came from a conversation with Planning For Burial’s Thom Wasluck and The Flenser about how they were all inspired by the nuanced beauty of Low’s discography. Unfortunately, this compilation began taking shape after Mimi Parker’s passing. To honor her legacy, they dedicated this album to her memory and the impact she left behind on the music world.

Kathryn Mohr on “Cut”:

“It was the lyrics that immediately drew me into this song. The intimacy of a hair cut. The loss of a version of someone you knew as they turn themselves inside out to survive. It’s one of the saddest things in the world to me, watching someone harden and loose themselves to their pain.”
