Electronic and indie musician Kedr Livanskiy has released her latest EP K Notes off of 2MR. The release draws froma variety of generes from drum ‘n’ bass to electronic and pop, held together by the unique “glue” that is neé Yana Kedrina’s voice.
Along with the EP, Kedrina has delivered her self-directed video for the title track. Of the video, she explained, “This story is about two sides of a person—the main character on the road (the light side) and the character in the black wig (the dark side). It’s like Agent Cooper’s tulpa in the third season of Twin Peaks. The dark side constantly wants to trap and destroy (self-destruction), but the hero eventually refuses the path of self-destruction and leaves to look for their bright path.”
The album is bright and upbeat, laced with house and electronic influences that bring Kedrina’s musical interests to the forefront. Listen to K Notes here.
