Australian grindcore faction King Parrot have dropped a new limited-edition seven-inch EP, Holed Up In The Lair in tandem with a comical, animated video for the track “Kick Up A Stink.” Check it out below:

King Parrot have a reputation for outlandish music videos, this time teaming up with animator Mike Foxall to spin a short yarn about suspect/cult hero, bassist Slatts Everyday falling into a bit of a sticky dilemma after running out of toilet paper. It’s the band’s way of taking a tongue-in-cheek jab at the current political and social situation, in an attempt to make the most of a shitty situation.

Vocalist Matt “Youngy” Young comments, “When the opportunity arose to work with Mike Foxall on a new video, we couldn’t pass it up. We were already fans of his artwork and his videos are awesome. His style meshes seamlessly with what we do, so it made sense to get this collaboration underway. The result speaks for itself, another chapter of King Parrot absurdity.”

Holed Up In The Lair EP is limited to 1000 copies worldwide and is out now on Housecore Records in North America, Agonia Records in Europe/UK, and Dead Set Records in Australasia/Asia. For purchasing options, visit the King Parrot’s website at
