News: KNIVES Releases New Song ‘Dance Electric’

KNIVES

Jacksonville natives KNIVES provides an explosive blend of pop-punk and screamo in its newest song “Dance Electric.” The track is a taste of what one of the scene’s most dynamic groups provides in its forthcoming, debut album One Cut Away From Love.

“The track captures a whirlwind of emotions, from love and melancholy to desperation and inspiration,” the band explains. “All delivered with powerful guitar riffs, driving bass, dynamic drums and dual, raw, emotive vocals.”

“Dance Electric” will undoubtedly highlight the new album, which drops in the fall on Punkerton records. The track is infectious, combining a bouncy pop-punk melody the occasional scream that give the song a sound unique to itself.

When you think KNIVES, think MXPX with a pinch of hardcore. The screams are perfectly timed in a tune that expertly builds from the first to last notes. And Christopher H. Fogal from Black in Bluhm aces the mixing and mastering work.

KNIVES has been busy this year. It hit the road with Middle-Out and Bad Year, using clips from the tour in the music video for “Dance Electric.” Clearly, these guys know how to put on a good show.

Expect more new music and show announcements from KNIVES soon. Keep tabs on the band here.
