El Paso-based band late night drive home released their label debut EP last Friday called i’ll remember you for the same feeling you gave me as i slept on legendary label Epitaph Records. The new EP sees the band turning to ’90s grunge influences like Sonic Youth and The Smashing Pumpkins and blending it with the likes of more modern artists like Dominic Fike and The 1975. The album was self-produced by the band, mixed by Sonny Diperri (The Drums, Animal Collective), and engineered by Ross Ingram (The Black Angels). Most of the album was recorded in an open D tuning, which the band says is intentional, saying: “We wanted a cohesive sound between all songs while incorporating the cold, sad feeling of a winter EP.”
