News: Less Than Jake Releases New Single ‘Broken Words’

The ska-punk legends Less Than Jake have released a new single, “Broken Words,” via Pure Noise Records on June 20. “Broken Words” showcases Less Than Jake at their most exuberant by mixing rollicking guitars and bubbly horns with the all-too-common fear of being misunderstood, despite trying their best to say the right thing.

Roger Lima on what’s to come for Less Than Jake:

“Hey guys! Twenty-twenty-four brings us some new LTJ songs, and this is a fun one! “Broken Words” has the ska, the pop-punk, and the horn lines that feel like a party, and I can’t wait to belt this one on stage! It happens to me too. I’ll try to say something, (maybe I didn’t choose the best words, but I tried); they get misinterpreted, and I end up unintentionally communicating something I didn’t mean at all. Know that feeling? Yeah, words are totally broken sometimes.”

The art for “Broken Words” has revealed the first piece of a treasure map that allures to more as time progresses. Fans can catch Less Than Jake on the road throughout the rest of the year. They’re going to be on tour in Europe this summer before a return to the United States for their Final Visit To Rockview Tour. Less Than Jake will also be heading to Wake and Bake Jamaica in 2025 which will feature Bowling For Soup, The Bouncing Souls, and Punk Rock Karaoke.

Thus far in their career, they have covered eight studio albums, tours with many big names including Descendents, blink-182, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Snoop Dogg and many more, as well as over 365 shows on the Vans Warped Tour. “Broken Words” is their first bit of original music in years. It delivers the ska, pop-punk, and horn lines that make it feel like a party!

Their last studio album, Silver Linings, was released in 2020. It features singles, “Lie To Me,” “Dear Me,” “Anytime and Anywhere,” and “Keep On Chasing.” From sweaty club shows to uproarious fesstival dates, Less Than Jake have measured up with the amount of smiles that they’ve slapped on the face of true believers. Silver Linings was the first full-length release with Pure Noise Records, and it followed up their 2013 album, See The Light.
