Brutality bringers Living Gate have left us in their carnage with the latest single “Hunting Maggots” just before their album Suffer as One, which drops October 25 via Relapse Records. We can get a taste of the onslaught via their latest single, and this international death metal group has such an array of talent, featuring Aaron Rieseberg (Yob), Lennart Bossu (Oathbreaker, Amenra), Wim Coppers (Oathbreaker, Wiegedood), and Levy Seynaeve (Wiegedood).
“Hunting Maggots” is pure death metal. So turn it up; the riffs are fast and nasty. In addition to the new music, you can also catch Living Gate at one of their European tour dates later this year.

Seynaeve says, “The world is one big cluster of suffering, but we have to go through it together, and I feel like we’re all just fighting each other. The title track actually has a very positive message—how you can rise above the suffering, how there is more power inside us than we think. I used to be a lot more nihilistic about things, and I realized that nagging and whining doesn’t help me or anybody else. I also want to express my gratitude for life: It still feels insane that we get to do this, to go around the world and play music that some people might find horrible!”
