News: Love Equals Death Announce ‘The Hour of Resurrection’ Compilation for Halloween

Californian death punks Love Equals Death have announced a compilation album of B-sides and rarities, The Hour of Resurrection, out just in time for Halloween 2021, aka the band’s 18th anniversary.

The band have already released a single from the album, the personal “At War (With Myself), accompanied by a video put together from older touring footage.

On Halloween 2003, Love Equals Death were born, blending typical ’90s skate punk with Misfits-style horror punk. Their 2006 album Nightmerica was released on Fat Wreck Chords, and had the band has toured with names like TSOL, Avenged Sevenfold, Tiger Army, No Use For A Name, Distillers, and of course AFI. Founding members of the band included Tsunami Bomb’s Dominic Davi and Tiger Army’s Nick 13. 

Love Equals Death returned in 2020, coming back to life on a split EP with The Static Age via SBÄM Records and Say-10 Records.

In the studio recording all-new material right now, the band  decided to drop the compilation on vinyl featuring B-sides and tracks from different labels and even earlier versions of songs on the Nightmerica album.
