Alternative act Love Ghost collab with Mexican artist Yung Dupe in their new song “Time Tavel.” The track follows Love Ghost’s recent tour in Mexico.
“’Time Travel’ is a song about a troubled girl that I was interested in and desire to travel back in time to absolve her from trauma/her own demons, ” Finn from Love Ghost explains.
The single follows the band’s recent release of their popular EP The Speed of Dreaming. The release helped the band build their impressive online following, drawing comparisons to new age blends of pop punk, hip hop, and emo.
“Time Travel” is very much a story, with elements of an epic tale crunched into a two minute and forty second tune.
“In this voyage, I opened up the door to an alternate universe and welcomed her demons into my own life,” Finn continues. “It’s very fantasy-driven and creative and loosely inspired by the movie Donnie Darko.”
With an aggressive release schedule and packed shows across North America, Love Ghost clearly have a bright future ahead. Keep a close eye on their progress here.
