Pop punk it-band Magnolia Park announced the release of their third album, Halloween Mixtape II, which is out October 27 on Epitaph Records. In hip-hop culture, mixtapes are usually self-produced hold over albums released for free while fans wait for the next official studio release, but, like its 2021 predecessor Halloween Mixtape, the upcoming Magnolia Park release seems to be more of an official studio album.
Along with the announcement of the new album, Magnolia Park dropped a new single off of the upcoming album called “Animal” which features guest vocals from rapper Ethan Ross and dark pop singer PLVTINUM. With the single comes the new video which was directed and edited by Orie McGinness. “The song came together organically because we did it in only a couple of hours,”guitarist/songwriter Tristan Torres says about the new track. “It’s such a weird collaboration, but it works so well and sounds so cool. We got to do the vide all together too—We all flew out to LA, and we got to hang out and make this really cool, nu-metal-style video.”
