Queer indie pop group MANifesto released a new single and video for their cover of the classic pop tune “It’s Raining Men.”
Originally released in 1982 by pop group The Weather Girls, the song has long since become a queer anthem, despite being originally preferred by women. Putting their own twist on the single, MANifesto’s version is infused with jazz, swing, and flamenco elements. The video is a big, gay extravaganza featuring the band going from pink robes to matching pink suits.
MANifesto are going to be playing at Toronto Pride this year. Make sure to follow them on Instagram for future updates.
