Marissa Nadler announces her new EP, The Wrath of the Clouds is due out February 4, via Sacred Bones and Bella Union.
In addition, Nadler has shared her cover of “Seabird” originally performed by the Alessi Brothers.
The cover and EP come off the heels of Nadler’s 2021 album release, The Path of the Clouds with the new EP featuring two covers and three previously unreleased tracks written during the Path sessions. Nadler says The Wrath of the Clouds felt “like uncovering lost gems that I had forgotten about.”
The three original tracks on The Wrath of the Clouds, “Guns on the Sundeck,” “All the Eclipses,” and “Some Secret Existence.” all cultivate similarities as Nadler’s last release, but showcase her growth and storytelling talent.
“Once I had finished the album, these two covers were on the top of my list,” says Nadler. “These were a really nice capping off to the season of this writing.”
