Gearing up for the release of their upcoming album out Sept. 3, 333, Meatbodies have released their new single and music video, “The Hero.”

The new record charts member Chad Ubovich’s journey in sobriety and reflects on the world he re-entered, which is still pretty flawed. Ubovich using “The Hero” to laugh it it all.

The video’s director, Casey Hanson, says, “The video and song are an exercise in sarcasm. Further, it’s maybe a jaded/cynical expression in regards to the good-evil duality narrative fed to us by people—idealizing machines of war, fetishizing trauma. It’s also just pretty colors and wrestling heel antics.”
