Solo alternative artist Mikie Mayo releases his newest, 2000’s inspired jam “dorrance st.” The musician and content creator continues to drop top-notch tracks with a talented, Los Angeles-based team supporting him.
“’dorrance st.’ is a millennial anti-pop indie ballad about how living with your friends can make you grow apart,” Mayo says. “The song is produced and written by myself and members of Cheem.”
Michael Nolasco, an up-and-coming producer from Los Angeles, helped craft the track. “dorrance st.” is the second single off his upcoming project bunny boy.
Mayo skillfully blends acoustic tendencies with a smorgasbord of delectable sounds; pop-punk, emo, and slick turntable scratches found in contemporary low-fi and hip-hop all find homes in his music. It’s undoubtedly helped him expand his social media following while expanding his listenership. Mayo also showcases a strong personality as a content creator.
