Joliet Illinois death metallers Molder have released new single “Frothing” from  forthcoming record Catastrophic Reconfiguration. The new disc is due to hit the streets November 8 via Prosthetic Records and features a massive guest vocal courtesy of Scott Carroll from legendary Chicago metal band Cianide.

Vocalist and guitarist Aaren Pantke comments:

“Arguably my favorite song on the record. If someone were to ask what we’re all about, this is the one I’d show them. It’s got everything: thrash, death, crust, doom etc. It even has Scott Carroll of Cianide doing guests vocals during the “meltdown.” It’s one of our most rabid tracks, period. For fans of losing your damn mind.”

Molder’s Catastrophic Reconfiguration is a 10-track coffin dripper featuring the pained growls and tortured riffs of vocalist and guitarist Aaren Pantke; the heavy bass crunch of Dominic Vaia, Kyle Pooley’s thrash hard drumming, and the inhuman shredding of guitarist Carlos Santini. Look for artwork provided by Mexican oil painter Julian Felipe Mora Ibanez.

Pantke says of the artwork:

“The art concept for this record sort of follows the same as ‘Engrossed in Decay,’ but this time rather than a death through decay, it’s a rebirth in it. We wanted it to pay homage to the works of ‘Mental Funeral’ or ‘Dark Recollections,’ amongst other things of course, but those two references definitely shine through on this particular piece. As far as colors go, we really wanted it to by a nice companion piece to the last record, without completely repeating it.”
