Taking place this year on July first and second, Oakland California’s Mosswood Meltdown Festival is delivering acts such as Le Tigre, Bratmobile, ESG and Gravy Train!!!, along with many others. Today, they add several new acts to the lineup with new additions Twompsax for their last performances ever as well as The 5678’s, Vore and Teddy Bear Orchestra.
“Mosswood Meltdown is a pissed-off July 4th weekend celebration for the punk rock elite. Slum-goddess feminists, butch twinks, homo-masculine straight guys-we’re all ready to pogo our way to musical mayhem,” said John Waters, host of this year’s festival.
Along with two days packed full of live performances, the weekend will kick-off with a grand opening party at Thee Stork Club on Friday, featuring John Waters and Gravy Train!!!!. But it doesn’t end there, with a lineup of over the top after parties on both Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for the weekend are nearly sold-out, and single day tickets are expected to go quick.
