Houston metal band Oceans Of Slumber have released their cover of legendary band Heart’s “Alone” with a darker approach. The song was recorded at Houston’s Southwing Audio. The video for the song was created by Dwayne Cathey.Watch the official video of the cover of “Alone” on YouTube:

Oceans Of Slumber vocalist Cammie Beverly shares how the cover came to be:

“(Oceans Of Slumber drummer Dobber Beverly) heard me sing ‘Alone’ one night at karaoke and thought it’d be cool for us to cover it.

“When we got together, we decided to make our version of ‘Alone’ heavier by leaning into Oceans Of Slumber’s sound,” Beverly continues. “By the time we finished recording, it felt like we’d really transformed the song, giving it new weight and energy while still keeping its heart intact.”

Earlier this year, Oceans Of Slumber released their new album Where Gods Fear to Speak, produced by Joel Hamilton and mixed by Joel Hamilton at Studio G. The artwork for the album was created by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design.
