The world’s only Ned Flanders themed metal band Okilly Dokilly have shared new single “Slaughterhouse” along with a run of spring tour dates.

The self-described Nedal band, who takes inspiration from the previously mentioned character from The Simpsons, rose to some internet fame after press photos circulated online and again when their track “White Wine Spritzer” was featured in the closing credits of their namesake’s television show last year.

The band’s music features lyrics taken entirely from the certainly-not-metal Ned Flanders. Okilly Dokilly released their second album, Howdilly Twodilly, in 2019. “Slaughterhouse” was originally recorded for that release but pulled last minute after the band realized they had misquoted some of Flander’s lines.

“We immediately pulled it from the record,” says the band’s Head Ned. “After a re-record in December of 2019, ‘Slaughterhouse’ was ready to go. ‘Slaughterhouse,’ at its core, is a song about gratitude, and us Neds sure do have a lot of gratitude for all the Neighborinos who came to our shows last year, and for the neighborinos who plan to come see us in Australia and New Zealand.”

After Okilly Dokilly spends a week down under, the band’s newly announced tour will kick off in their hometown of Phoenix, Arizona on April 3 and see the band travelling across much of the U.S.
