Otep have released a new single “Ostracized” from forthcoming record The God Slayer which is due out September 15 via Cleopatra Records. The God Slayer features several new, original songs alongside a multitude of fan favorites across different genres.
“Ostracized” follows up Otep’s release of Billie Eilish’s “You Should See Me In A Crown.”
Otep were formed in November 2000 and have developed a solid reputation for their particular style of “art-house nu metal.” Neither the band nor Otep Shamaya have never had fear taking strong political stances or espousing opinions.
In 2010, Otep were nominated for a GLAAD Media Award for “Outstanding Music Artist” for the album Smash the Control Machine at the 21st GLAAD Media Awards.
