News: Patrick Hardy Shares New Album: tiny

Patrick Hardy

Based out of the middle of nowhere, Saskatchewan, Patrick Hardy released a new album this Friday, September 13. The album is titled tiny and he does everything on their own, from producing to playing all of the instruments.

Listen to tiny here.

While Patrick was learning how to record and produce at home, they became increasingly involved in the evangelical church, eventually becoming a worship pastor. After they deconstructed from faith, they left the church and turned their attention to behind the scenes, focusing on session guitar playing.

They honed their skills by playing and working on hundreds of songs; their production and songwriting abilities were constantly improving and inspiring them to trying one of their own. They drew inspiration from genres such as emo, post-hardcore, and pop-punk from the early 2000s to present day. Their songs are a combination of everything one loves about emo-nostalgia—twinkly guitar notes and catchy choruses.

Patrick talks about tiny:

“Tiny is a journey through grief and loss. I tried to put that in front of a backdrop of ambience, rippling guitar playing, and catchy pop melodies. I wanted to explore growing in the opposite direction from friends and the weight of death. tiny feels like a familiar face that you can’t quite remember the name of, but also a face you will never forget.”
