Minnesota-based indie rockers Remo Drive released a new single and video today called “No, There’s No Hope for You.” The single is their first new music since their 2020 album The Portrait of an Ugly Man.
“The subject of the song believes that if he finds the ‘perfect’ person, his life will somehow become less painful,” explain the band about his new song. “In his search for freedom from pain, the character holds others to unattainable standards and neglects his own shortcomings. These practices only serve to isolate the character further and prevent him from forming meaningful connections with people as they actually exist.”
Alongside the new single, the band released a quirky animated video for the song directed by James Kerr. Check out the video below.
