Riot For Romance, has premiered their new song, “Less For Regret,” off their upcoming self-titled EP out February 11 via Steadfast Records and Friend Club Records!

“In writing ‘Less For Regret,’ like the rest of the EP, we embarked on a new creative process of writing and recording separately from three different states,” says vocalist, guitarist, and keyboardist, Jason Hansen. “A considerable number of texts, calls, FaceTime, and shared iCloud uploads ensued in building the song. Musically,’ Less For Regret’ was the outgrowth of individual contributions that bonded. And lyrically, it represents the raw emotion of unintentionally failing the ones we love. Personally, it’s about struggling with being a father and not wanting to screw up my kids yet realizing I will fail them to some degree because none of us are perfect.”

The members of the post-punk/shoegaze/alternative rock band have collectively cut their teeth in bands like Sleeping By The Riverside, The Sincerity Guild, Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster, Underoath, and Never Enough! Hansen, Brett Miotti (bass), and Kelly Nunn (drums/guitars) have over 20 years of experience; they’ve toured, logged studio time, produced internationally distributed releases, performed at music festivals, and have been played on the radio! As equal partners in songwriting, the guys clearly have their sights set on leaving an imprint on music.

“Less For Regret” is preceded by the New Noise Magazine premiere of the first single/video from the EP earlier this month. Check out “The World And It’s Weight” here.
